1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Tarteel ("App," "Service," "we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using our AI Quran Reader mobile application, you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Tarteel. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not download, install, or use the App. Your continued use of the App following any updates to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

2.1 Age Requirements:

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 years old in the European Economic Area) to create an account and use certain features of our App.
  • Users under the applicable age may use the App only with parental or guardian consent and supervision.
  • By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these age requirements.

2.2 Account Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Description of Services

Tarteel provides an AI-powered Quran reading application that offers the following features:

  • Quran Reading: Full Quran text with Arabic script and translations in multiple languages.
  • Tarteel Recitations: Audio recitations by renowned Qaris with Tajweed.
  • Tafsir: Quranic interpretation and explanation.
  • Athkar & Duas: Morning, evening, and daily supplications.
  • Prayer Times: Accurate prayer time calculations based on location.
  • Adhan Notifications: Prayer time reminders and call to prayer.
  • Khatmah Tracker: Track your Quran reading progress.
  • Offline Access: Download content for offline use.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any features or services at any time without prior notice.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Subscription Plans:

The App offers both free and premium subscription options. Premium subscriptions ("Pro") provide access to additional features and content.

4.2 Billing and Payments:

  • All payments are processed through Apple's App Store.
  • Subscription fees are charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary by region.
  • All prices are subject to change with notice.

4.3 Auto-Renewal:

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings.

4.4 Free Trials:

  • Free trials may be offered for premium subscriptions.
  • Free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial period ends.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

4.5 Refunds:

Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy. You may request a refund through Apple's App Store by visiting reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds directly.

5. User Conduct and Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks.
  • Use automated systems, bots, or scrapers to access the App.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
  • Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App's content.
  • Use the App to transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Use the App for commercial purposes without our written consent.
  • Share your account credentials with others.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Our Intellectual Property:

The App, including its design, features, functionality, and content (excluding Quranic text), is owned by Tarteel and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This includes:

  • The App's source code, interface, and visual design.
  • Our trademarks, logos, and brand elements.
  • Original content, graphics, and animations.
  • Audio recordings and recitations (where applicable).

6.2 Quranic Content:

The Quran is the word of Allah and is not subject to copyright. We provide access to Quranic text and translations as a service to the Muslim community. Translations and Tafsir content may be subject to third-party copyrights.

6.3 Limited License:

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

7. Content Accuracy and Religious Guidance

7.1 Accuracy Disclaimer:

While we strive to provide accurate Quranic text, translations, Tafsir, and Islamic content, we cannot guarantee that all information is error-free. We recommend consulting with qualified Islamic scholars for important religious matters.

7.2 Prayer Times:

Prayer time calculations are based on mathematical algorithms and your location data. Times may vary slightly from local mosque announcements. We recommend verifying with local Islamic authorities for critical prayer times.

7.3 Not Religious Advice:

The App is a tool to assist with Quran reading and Islamic practices. It is not intended to replace guidance from qualified Islamic scholars or religious authorities.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content. We do not control and are not responsible for:

  • The content, accuracy, or opinions expressed on third-party sites.
  • The privacy practices of third-party services.
  • Any transactions conducted with third parties.

Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their respective terms and policies.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

10.1 "As Is" Basis:

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10.2 No Guarantee:

We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
  • The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable.
  • Any errors in the App will be corrected.
  • The App will meet your specific requirements.

10.3 Limitation of Liability:

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TARTEEL AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tarteel and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the App.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any third-party rights.
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

12. Termination

12.1 Termination by You:

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the App settings or by contacting us at appskiesltd@gmail.com.

12.2 Termination by Us:

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including:

  • Violation of these Terms.
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
  • Extended periods of inactivity.
  • At our sole discretion.

12.3 Effect of Termination:

  • Upon termination, your right to use the App immediately ceases.
  • We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Provisions of these Terms that should survive termination will remain in effect.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes:

  • We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms.
  • We will notify you through the App or via email.
  • Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the App and delete your account.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

14.1 Governing Law:

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Tarteel operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14.2 Dispute Resolution:

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

14.3 Class Action Waiver:

You agree that any disputes will be resolved individually and not as part of any class or representative action.

15. General Provisions

15.1 Entire Agreement:

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tarteel regarding the App.

15.2 Severability:

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15.3 Waiver:

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

15.4 Assignment:

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

15.5 Force Majeure:

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
